Hump Mold Throwing System

The Hump Mold Throwing System allows potters to consistently produce plates and bowls that are the same size with minimal effort. The 7.5" plate, 9" plate and 7.5" bowl fit the Shimpo Aspire without the Adapter Bat and with the Adapter bat the molds can be used with any pottery wheel that has 10" on center bat pins installed.  

After rolling out a slab and laying it over the mold spin your wheel slowly and trim away extra clay before using a rib to smooth and compress the piece. A foot can be added as well as texture if desired. The porous plaster will help absorb moisture and speed drying. Remove pieces from molds when they are just stiff enough to maintain their shape.
