Note on Receiving the Kiln: Although these kilns are much lighter than a Hercules or an Easy-Load kiln they still take some effort to remove from the pallet. If you do not have a forklift available be sure to have 4 strong people to help move the kiln off the pallet. If your kiln comes with the caster option then you will be able to move it immediately. A pallet jack can lift the kiln also once it is on the floor. Also note that the kiln is top heavy and be careful of moving it up or down an incline or steps. Again have 4 strong people available if you do not have the proper equipment like a forklift.
Assembly - No assembly required
Construction - Stainless steel wrapped around arched firebrick. There are seven adjustable clamps welded to the casing. Door and door frame are independent and are welded to the base assembly.
Door and Hinge - Horizontal swing door. Heavy-gauge metal case with easily changed brick section. Hinge is adjustable in two planes. Includes extra insulation, and easy-to-use toggle clamps. The entire door is removable and swings 180 degrees to the case for easy moving of the kiln through doors. (This is a 3 person job - two to lift the door and one to align it).
Stand - Heavy gauge stand with two shelves. Levelling bolts and anchor holes included. Stand comes assembled in the US and Canada but can be disassembled for compact air shipment.
Brick Coating -A proprietary brick coating is applied to all interior surfaces of the kiln. This is put on before the element holders are inserted. This coating penetrates the firebrick and fuses the surface on a microscopic level which helps prevent dusting and crumbling of the fragile firebrick.
Peephole Plugs -Solid ceramic peephole plugs with full 1” diameter. Two total: one per section.
Warranty - Limited Three Year Warranty
Control Type - DynaTrol Multi-Program Zone Control
Zones - Multi-Zone with a separate thermocouple for each zone.
Thermocouple - 8 Ga Type K Exposed Thermocouples in Mullite Protection Tubes are standard on Easy Fire Front Loading Kilns
Control Mounting - Mounted on control panel
Control Box Mounting -The control panel is angled for easy viewing and operation of the DynaTrol. All controls and components are mounted in a separate control panel that is piggy-backed on top of the element connection box. A layer of insulation and this separation helps keep the controls cool for longer life. The control panel and element box are hinged for easy access and maintenance. Moreover, when the top control panel is in the open position it rigidly stays in a perpendicular position making servicing safer and easier than with other make kilns. Also the control box can be easily removed for servicing. On/off switch and control fuse are included.
Control Panel Service - Control box drops down perpendicular to kiln for easy access to wiring and controls. All electrical wires are color coded or numbered.
L&L's rolling kiln stand features heavy gauge (14 ga) galvannealed steel construction with multiple bends for extra strength, steel swivel locking casters, integrated vent collection box support, and guide rails for the kiln. Each size is fitted to the kiln. Important special caution plates are riveted to three sides of the stand. The vent collection box is not included but, when you order a Vent-Sure vent system the longer duct is included with the system.
Large Diameter Elements With Thick Wire And Lower Watt Density
Available As An Option On These Kilns - Easy-Fire, Easy-Fire XT, Jupiter, DaVinci, Liberty-Belle
Standard On These Kilns - eQuad-Pro, JH Series
The Vent-Sure automatic kiln vent helps prevent corrosion on the inside and outside of your kiln. It ensures that your kiln gets the longest possible life from your elements and electrical components. This is so important that, if you do not have a Vent-Sure installed on your kiln, the pro-rated element warranty is in a different category.
You can get a Vent Doubler option (M-V-VENT/DB) which allow you to vent two kilns that are each up to 10 cubic feet.
This is the complete 120 volt Vent-Sure System.
WHAT IS INCLUDED:
Model: M-V-VENT/00
NOTE: Vents made by manufacturers other than L&L may not be listed to UL499 standards if used with an L&L kiln. The same is true in reverse - the L&L Vent-Sure is listed to UL499 standards only with L&L listed kilns. If you have any question please contact the manufacturer of your non-L&L vent system.

Kiln Shipping Information
The most important thing to remember is that almost all kilns ship for FREE to the contiguous United States. If you need a kiln shipped outside of the lower 48 please contact us by phone at 314-963-0180 or email sales@kruegerpottery.com to obtain a freight quote.
You probably realize that kilns can be very heavy and you may be nervous about ordering one online and having it shipped, but we will help you make the process smooth and easy.
Most kilns ship on a truck rather than by UPS, but don't worry, because just like a UPS shipment we handle all the paperwork and logistics.
Receiving a Kiln
Kilns are shipped on wooden pallets or crated in wooden boxes and delivery by a trucking company does not include unpacking the kiln, moving it into your building or hauling away any packing materials. If your kiln is being delivered to a residential location or a location without a loading dock we will request a lift gate so the kiln can be removed from the truck and placed on level ground. When the truck arrives the driver will unload the kiln and move it on the pallet or crate to a location near the truck. Most drivers are accommodating and will place the kiln in a reasonable location at your request BUT trucking companies are only required to unload the kiln from their truck so you should have a plan in place to move it to the final location. All kilns come with instructions on how to unpack and move your new kiln. For residential deliveries freight companies will schedule a delivery window with you in advance so you can be prepared to move your kiln to the final location.
Kiln Inspection and Damage
- It is YOUR responsibility to inspect merchandise prior to the delivery agent's departure. Inspecting your shipment includes checking for missing items as well as looking for damage to the items and the packaging. We have a signed BOL (Bill of Lading) stating that the shipment left our warehouse complete and in good condition so it is critical you inspect BEFORE signing for receipt. If you sign the receipt without a note indicating damage and/or missing items it is VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE for us to file a claim on your behalf.
- If the merchandise OR packaging appears to be damaged in any way, please note the damage on the freight bill and retain a copy (a photo of the paperwork is fine). This will aid in the return/replacement process. In the case of damage you may refuse the delivery. If you do this you must contact us immediately so we can work with the carrier to resolve the issue.
- If damage is discovered after the driver has left, contact us IMMEDIATELY. If you do not contact us within 5 days damage claims CANNOT be made with the carrier and you will be responsible for repair costs. As long as damage is reported to us within 5 days we can file a claim to get it repaired. For this reason it is critical you open and inspect all freight deliveries before the window closes.
