THIS CLAY LOOKS BEST WITH OPAQUE LIGHTER SHADE GLAZES WHERE THE SPECKS CAN BE SEEN EASILY. THE SPECKS CAN BE OUTSTANDING OR SUBTLE. IT JUST DEPENDS ON THE GLAZE YOU CHOOSE.

 **We recommend bisque firing SLOW speed between cone 06 and cone 04 and always SLOW speed glaze firing. 

A nice super smooth, plastic body that fires a dark chocolate brown at cones 5-6. Matures cone 5-6. Won't bloat at soft cone 7 if fired slow through the last 300-400F. Contains no grog. Gives nice warmth to glazes, giving that reduction look to them in oxidation. 

*Kentucky Mudworks tests with Super Clear glaze gave us little to no bubbles or green tint to the clear glaze. 

Contains less than 2% Manganese.

Shrinkage at cone 6 - 15%
Absorption at cone 6 - <.5%

You can choose a 25lb box shipped in a medium flat rate box or a 50lb box shipped in a large flat rate box. The shopping cart will correctly calculate the shipping for theses clays. Just make sure you select "Free Shipping" as your shipping method when you checkout. If you have any other items in your cart you will only be charged shipping for those items and not the clay.

If you are buying clay to pick up, ship via UPS Ground, LTL Freight or delivery by KPS do not select "US Postal Service Clay Shipping" as it will add a shipping charge and increase your clay price. Bulk discounts on clay will only appear when you select the "50 Pound Box" size.
