Kiln Description
Test kiln models are built with Olympic’s proven electrical box design which has heat shields with top and bottom perforations to keep the electrical components cool. Balanced heating elements insure even heating of the firing chamber under all firing conditions.These models come equipped with pilot light, metal stand, stainless steel jacket, and Bartlett V6-CF electronic controller. The V6-CF offers multiple features including delay start, preheat, cone offset, skip step and many more for precise firings every time. Messages and Information are available for reviewing a firing profile before or during the firing, viewing the current segment the firing is in, and cone table for easy look up of temperature and cone number equivalents. Data is entered digitally for the desired cone fire or ramp/hold programming. One-year Limited Kiln Warranty for cone 10 models.

Controller
The Bartlett V6-CF comes as the standard controller on this kiln. Bartlett Instrument Company's fifth generation kiln controller. Each generation has improved the reliability, features and ease-of-use to make Bartlett Instrument Company's kiln controllers the most accepted on the market. With the V6-CF cone-fire method, you select 1 of the 4 firing speeds and your cone number and you're firing your ceramics with as few as 6 key presses! The vary-fire method gives you the freedom to create up to six, 8-step user programs to fire your ceramics, crystalline glazes, glass or jewelry. Other features include delay start, preheat, alarm, cone adjustments, thermocouple adjustments, °F or °C operation, 16 segment program, and skip step. Advanced features of the V6-CF's include 3-zone control and KISS (kiln interface software system) for remote programming and data collection from a personal computer!

Genesis Controller
Genesis is the next generation of kiln controllers with its modern and intuitive user platform. But, because results are what counts, this one also includes the knowledge that is at the heart of every Bartlett controller. The control strategies that have produced so many successful firings with Bartlett controllers will only be enhanced by this new format of display and user interface.

Automatic Lid Shutoff
If installed this switch shuts off power to the elements when the lid is opened reducing the risk of electric shock.

Castors
Heavy duty metal castors can be added to kilns to allow for ease in moving.

Guillotine Lift
The Guillotine lift add on for front loading kilns allows the door to move up and out of the way rather than swinging open.

Kiln Furniture Kit
Kiln furniture kits for Olympic Kilns contain kiln posts, kiln shelves, kiln wash and in some cases ceramic fiber paper. In order to stack work in your brand new kiln you will need kiln furniture. You should never stack work directly on the bottom of the kiln.
