Yael is a native of Tel Aviv, Israel who moved to St. Louis in 1987. Her interest in pottery arose during her visits to the various museums in Israel. Yael studied ceramics at St. Louis Community College at Meramec under Bob Allen and at Maryville University. She now works out of her basement studio at her home in Webster Groves. A middle eastern influence is apparent in her olive oil jars and bowl forms.
