Tom recieved his BS from Southeast Missouri State University and his MFA from the University of Montana, Missoula. He is currently teaching art in Southeast Missouri. Crystalline glazed ceramics are formed by exact firing, special glaze applications, and carefully formulated glazes. Tom looks back to classical vase forms of western & eastern civilizations. He works to achieve interesting glaze patterns, rich colors and a combination of the two drive the aesthetic and technical challenge in this unique type of ceramic art.
