Ron first encountered clay while living in Hawaii and immediately knew he wanted to be a potter. He completed a degree at Southeast Missouri State University in 1976. He established Stonehenge Pottery Company and worked as a production potter until 1991. Ron then traded silica chips for silicon chips and opened a computer store in Farmington. Returning to pottery in 1997, part-time, Ron now focuses more on the individual piece and the qualities of producing one-of-a-kind pieces of stoneware.
